Our Story

Heading 6

From a taste of home → to a USDA-certified factory → to a food truck loved across Minnesota.

A Journey That Started With Homesickness

We are a Taiwanese couple who moved to the United States after graduation and eventually settled in Minnesota.
But soon we discovered something shocking — this place we now called home was a “Taiwanese food desert.”
The flavors we grew up with simply didn’t exist here, especially the one we missed most: traditional Taiwanese sausage.

An Unexpected Beginning: A Hotel Kitchen

Our journey began not in a professional kitchen, but in the most unexpected place —
a tiny hotel kitchenette, where we stayed temporarily due to severe water damage in our home.

With nothing more than a household KitchenAid mixer, limited space, and a big craving for Taiwanese food,
we started grinding meat, mixing spices, and hand-stuffing sausages.

What began as preparation for the ROC Centennial Celebration slowly became something much bigger.

That cramped hotel kitchen became the birthplace of the very first batch of our Taiwanese sausages.

Chasing the True Taste of Taiwan

We spent countless late nights testing recipes, adjusting ingredients, and tasting batch after batch.

We weren’t just trying to make sausage — we were trying to recreate a memory, a feeling, a flavor of home.

After endless experiments, we finally crafted a sausage that captured the true, traditional Taiwanese taste —

a flavor even more authentic than many modern versions in Taiwan today.

Encouraged by friends, colleagues, and local taste testers, we expanded our flavors and styles,
inventing products that honored tradition while embracing creativity.

Two Public-Servant Kids, Building a USDA Factory in America

Starting a business in the U.S. as two people from public-servant families was a challenge beyond imagination.
Every step — choosing a location, renovating the facility, navigating federal food regulations, and obtaining a USDA license — was completely unfamiliar territory.

We stumbled, learned, and kept moving forward. What began as a part-time passion quickly turned into a full-time mission.

Bringing Taiwanese Flavor to Minnesota

To introduce Taiwanese sausages to the Midwest — a region famous for its conservative palate — we joined local events, fairs, and festivals, sharing our flavors one sample at a time.

The response was overwhelming. People loved it. They came back for more. They brought their friends.

And in 2025, we took a bold new step — we purchased our first Taiwanese street food truck, offering not only our signature sausages but also a variety of Taiwanese snacks. The food truck was warmly welcomed and quickly became a favorite at Minnesota events.

Our Dream for the Future

Our dream is simple yet powerful:

To let more people across America fall in love with Taiwanese sausages, and one day bring “Taiwanese Sausage” into major supermarkets nationwide.

This is more than a product. It’s our heritage, our identity, and our way of sharing Taiwan with the world.

I’ve never tasted anything like this!”
